The 3rd Annual National Day of Service

Miss America Serves 2017
The 3rd Annual National Day of Service
Saturday, April 8th

Savvy CMNH Blast.jpgAtlantic City, NJ (March 13, 2017) – Saturday, April 8th will mark the third annual Miss America Serves event sponsored by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Led by Miss America 2017, Savvy Shields, contestants and volunteers will perform countless acts of kindness and ask their friends, family, and social networks to donate to the Miss America State Scholarship funds and to local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The impact of last year’s efforts succeeded in surpassing the previous year, as our state titleholders and contestants blanketed the country, touching lives everywhere with kindness and dedication. Those efforts made a significant difference to the people residing in our cities and towns across the country, while raising funds to continue the compassionate work of CMN Hospitals. And, as we recognize and acknowledge that success, this year we are determined to increase the commitment to the children the CMN Hospitals serve.

During this year’s Miss America Serves, we are challenging all our states to fully participate, and help us reach a new goal, by pledging to raise a minimum of $5,000 per state. If every state could rally all their contestants — at the Miss and the MAOTeen level — to form teams to showcase the Miss America spirit of service and giving, it would allow us to demonstrate our dedication to this commitment.

We’d also love to showcase any personal CMN Hospitals stories and/or experiences our contestants can share. Please forward directly to maryellen@missamerica.org or upload to the MAS Project Form below.
