Atlantic City, NJ (July 10, 2017) – The Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization’s are excited to announce Miss America 2017 Savvy Shields and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2017 Nicole Jia will join the Miss America and MAOTeen contestants in Orlando, Florida, this July to participate in a Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon! In 1991, students at Indiana University founded dance marathon in the memory of Ryan White, a fellow student who passed away from HIV/AIDS. The program now spans North America, benefiting hundreds of hospitals and countless kids in the United States and Canada. Dance marathons have become a tradition on campus and in the community.

The Miss America Organization, Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization, and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will host the marathon on July 28, 2017 from 7-10 pm ET at The Rosen Centre during the national MAOTeen Competition and the Miss America contestant orientation. Miss America Savvy Shields and MAOTeen Nicole Jia will emcee and do their part to keep the contestants dancing and raising funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!
